Aerial Arts

At Hendersonville Movement, our Aerial Arts program is designed to help you build strength, flexibility, and creativity while taking fitness to new heights. Using Lyra (aerial hoop) and aerial hammock, our classes combine graceful movement with challenging conditioning in a safe, supportive environment.

Why Aerial Arts?

Aerial Arts is more than just a workout—it’s a powerful way to connect with your body and express yourself. Students gain:

  • Full-body strength – especially in the core, arms, and shoulders

  • Improved flexibility and balance

  • Confidence and creativity through movement in the air

  • A sense of fun and accomplishment as you learn new skills

Lyra Hoop (Aerial Hoop)

Lyra training focuses on strength, control, and elegant shapes inside and around the aerial hoop. Students will learn spins, balances, and dynamic sequences while building core and upper-body strength.

Aerial Hammock

The hammock provides a supportive fabric to explore flips, wraps, and flowing movement. Students use the hammock for strength drills, flexibility, and creative choreography, combining fitness with artistry.

Who Can Join?

Aerial Arts is open to all levels—whether you’re brand new or looking to refine your practice. Our instructors provide personalized guidance to make sure you feel safe, supported, and challenged in every class.

What to Expect

Our classes are beginner-friendly, with no prior experience required. You’ll start by learning safe mounts, hangs, and basic shapes before progressing to more dynamic movements, transitions, and short sequences.
