About the space

Located at 103 Copper Penny Street in Hendersonville, NC, we’re just three minutes from downtown Hendersonville. Hendersonville Movement is more than a studio—it’s a space built for creativity, strength, and community.

Here, you’ll find:

  • Specialized equipment designed for pole fitness, aerial hammock, and Lyra (aerial hoop)

  • A welcoming studio environment that supports yoga, belly dance, and creative movement classes

  • Fun extras—from flexibility props to themed pop-up setups—that keep every visit fresh and inspiring

We’ve worked hard to create an atmosphere where movement feels exciting, empowering, and accessible for everyone. Forget the big, impersonal gyms—our studio is a safe, uplifting space with supportive instructors and a strong sense of community.

Not sure where to start? That’s okay! From beginner foundations to advanced training, we’ll guide you toward the classes that best fit your goals and help you grow with confidence.

At Hendersonville Movement, you’ll discover a space to explore, express, and strengthen—while finding joy in movement.

Meg Yvonne

Trainer & Founder

Meg began her fitness career in Charleston, SC, in 2016 as a personal trainer, building on her background in CrossFit, long-distance running, and weight training. Through both in-gym and at-home sessions, she discovered her passion for helping clients grow stronger, healthier, and more confident. In 2017, Meg began competing as a powerlifter across the Carolinas, setting records in North Carolina and finding empowerment in pushing her own limits.

After relocating to Hendersonville later that year, Meg steadily built a personal training clientele while continuing to train her Charleston clients online. Her long-time dream of owning a gym came true in early 2024 with the opening of Hendersonville Personal Training aka Counterculture Coaching. Within months, the studio expanded into a larger space, laying the groundwork for what is becoming a one-stop fitness hub for the Hendersonville community.

In summer 2025, Meg founded Hendersonville Movement, expanding her vision beyond strength training to include pole fitness, aerial arts, yoga, belly dance, kids movement, and pop-up specialty classes. By bringing together multiple disciplines under one roof, Meg created a space where people of all ages and backgrounds can find strength, confidence, and joy in movement.

Today, Meg continues to grow both Hendersonville Personal Training and Hendersonville Movement. She is grateful for the dedicated team of instructors and trainers who share her vision and looks forward to welcoming even more people into the community she’s building.
