Meg Yvonne
Trainer & Founder
Meg began her fitness career in Charleston, SC, in 2016 as a personal trainer, building on a background in CrossFit, long-distance running, and weight training. In 2017, she began competing as a powerlifter across the Carolinas, setting records in North Carolina and discovering the power of pushing past perceived limits—both her own and her clients’.
After relocating to Hendersonville, Meg steadily grew a personal training clientele while continuing to coach clients online. Her long-time dream of owning a gym became a reality in early 2024 with the opening of Hendersonville Personal Training under Counterculture Coaching. The studio quickly expanded into a larger space, becoming a growing fitness hub for the local community.
That same year, Hurricane Helene caused severe flooding that directly impacted the gym. With the overwhelming support of clients, staff, and the surrounding community, the space was rebuilt—stronger, more intentional, and more connected than ever.
In 2025, Meg launched Hendersonville Movement, expanding her vision to include pole fitness, aerial arts, yoga, belly dance, kids movement, and specialty classes. Today, Meg continues to grow both spaces alongside an incredible team, creating an inclusive, resilient community where movement builds strength, confidence, and joy.
